Right fast red Ford squeals around a bend. Headlights bring into focus a cat crushed and split in two by a previous driver. Music loud pours out through the open driver's window with an elbow sticking out of it. The car screeches and squeals from side to side of the road leaving flames of cigarette cherry flicked out the window flitting through the air.

SCENE 2:

Interior of the car — black leather stinks of spilled whiskey the driver Jim Glass a handsome guy in maybe his late thirties cigarette in his mouth one hand on the wheel with his elbow sticking out the window the other holding a flask. Nick Cave blaring on the car radio death all of it death —

And I bellowed at the firmament looks like the rains are here to stay…

— flicks cigarette flares out the window takes a hit off the flask makes his mouth go all tight as he swallows it down he can feel the sting all the way down his throat into his feet — his foot heavy on the pedal weaving down the road —

And the rain pissed down upon me and washed me all away…

— left hand slipping around the leather of the steering wheel, has to scramble to grab it tight and keep the car on course —

Well, the road is long and the road is hard and many fall by the side…
